Halloween Under the Palms
Yesterday, the beach at our Marriott Merlin Beach became the setting for a Halloween party. And we joined right in, Halloween masks and all. Anneliese had drawn a giant six of hearts. It fitted the cheerful evening perfectly: palm trees, the sea and plenty of spooky decorations.
There was a wonderful buffet, lots of children and a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed a beautiful fire show, and the entertainment even made its way between the tables. We laughed, ate well and joined in the fun.
For us, it was a cheerful farewell to our days in Phuket and a moment of transition. November brings our next chapter. But last night, all of that could wait: Halloween under the palms, Anneliese with her six of hearts, and the two of us right in the middle of it all.
