Brand Auditor
A brand is not what a company says it is. A brand is what people experience it to be.
I began my career as a copywriter and creative professional, later worked in agencies including New York, became a Creative Director and Managing Director, founded my own agencies and gradually moved from advertising into strategic brand consulting. Eventually, Brand Auditing became one of the most fascinating parts of my professional life.
COPYWRITER → CREATIVE DIRECTOR → MANAGING DIRECTOR → AGENCY OWNER → BRAND CONSULTANT → BRAND AUDITOR
I travelled internationally on behalf of major corporate clients. My task was not simply to inspect communication. It was to understand how the brand was actually being lived — by leadership, employees, partners and customers.
Brand Auditing begins with trust. I learned to replace corporate language with open questions and to listen for the experiences behind polished answers.
Only then could I discover whether the values a company communicated at headquarters were actually understood, believed and lived thousands of kilometres away.
I compared what management said about the brand with what I saw and heard on the ground. The gap between words and reality is where the truth of a brand is revealed.
WHAT THE COMPANY SAYS
WHAT PEOPLE EXPERIENCE
PEOPLE ARE THE BRAND
A strategy becomes real only through behaviour. Every conversation, decision and response contributes to what people experience the brand to be.
The most important information is rarely found in a presentation. It lives in the gap between what an organisation claims and what people experience.
BRANDING → BEHAVIOUR → PSYCHOLOGY → PEOPLE → HUMAN EXPERIENCE
